Nothing makes any job more fun and exciting than two creatives minds working in synch and tuning what the other person is going to create. This synch of creative minds is how beautiful Sophie (fashion director for OFD) and Petr Vackar have been working for a few years to bring the latest wedding hair makeup trends to Australian brides through looks they have designed for OFD runway show.
Floral, Romantic, Beautiful, High Fashion, Gold, Rustic Metal was the brief and after the first pin on our secret board on Pinterest we knew what we wanted from each other. How to make it different to previous year was a challenge. How to better yourself is not always easy. Thankfully to my fantastic team in particular to Charlotte Ravet coming up with some high fashion bridal hair makeup ideas.

Petr loves discovering new products and is constantly on a hunt for the bests for his clients. This OFD he teamed up with French natural makeup brand MaqPRO to create a look that was extra dewy. Considering model’s skin and the impact of wearing makeup for an extended period of time this was a very easy choice as the brand provides fantastic and gentle option using 100% natural pigments combine with natural wax. The entire range is paraben free, and no product is tested on animals all handcrafted in France.
These pigments provide the perfect colour and texture to match any skin tone and unlimited colour range to have fun.
On models skin as foundation, we used FARD CREME pigments with foundation mixing medium to match models skin tone.
For the eye makeup, Petr chose warm tones of reds and coral with coppery gold undertones and soft gold highlights in the inner corner of the eye. METALLIC

“I admire women mainly for their strength. Find a man with the same endurance, heart and ability to sustain pain, and you find a woman.”

“I wanted to create strong, sexy hair look that also allows models to remain soft and feminine.”

Models hair was set in classical pin curls directly away from their faces using powerful mouse Glamour Whip by Goldwell.

Starting at the nape of the neck working with small sections applying medium size thong on each strand of the hair sprayed with Big Finish by Goldwell.

After taking the hair down and combing it through we create a triangle section running down from ears to the neck and securing the part in a low ponytail.

The section above the ears towards the crown was backcombed creating a full base.

Sides and the top part were softly pulled back over this base leaving some pieces to come out for softer texture especially around the hairline contrasting the very sleek pony that we created at the end.

We used golden wire to secure the back section of the hairstyle applying the “zig-zag” technique creating the crossover pattern. When we reached the base of the low ponytail, we wrapped the pony with the wire in the same fashion securing the ponytail very sleek.
